NEBOSH General Certificate

This Health and Safety Qualification helps those who complete it to be more effective in risk management and developing a comprehensive safety culture in the workplace. The NEBOSH certificate is regularly used by people as a first step to a career in health and safety.

When delivered in a classroom this course is delivered over 10 days and the online version covers the same content. It will take a student between 60 and 80 hours to complete this programme but the advantage of the e-learning format is that you can do this over 6 months so it will be easier to fit around your work. We can also offer this as a classroom training programme at a cost of £1149 so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this option.

Unit 1 - Management of health and safety

• Foundations in health and safety
• Health and safety policy
• Organising for health and safety
• Promoting a positive health and safety culture
• Risk assessment
• Principles of control
• Monitoring, review and audit
• Incident and accident investigation, recording and reporting

Unit 2 - Controlling Workplace Hazards

• Controlling the movement of people, vehicles
• Manual and mechanical handling hazards and control
• Work equipment and control
• Electrical hazards and control
• Fire hazards and control
• Chemical and biological hazards and control
• Physical and psychological hazards and control
• Construction activities hazards and control

Assessment
Cost includes all certification and assessment fees. Assessment is via
2x 1 hour exams at an accredited centre followed by a written
workplace project that must be submitted within two weeks of
the final exam.

Duration: 60 - 80 hours. Up to six months to complete the course.
